WHERE WE COME FROM
In the opening balance sheet dated 1 January 1955, the SOT logbook mentions a captain who would go on to have a lasting influence on his successors: Dr. Franz C. Fetzer, graduate of the Prussian Cadet School, long-time General Secretary of the Federation of Austrian Industry and founder of the SOT.
As a supporter of the social market economy, he advocated for an image of society in which self-determined individuals and free enterprise play a central role.* His work still guides us to this day.
For more than 70 years, the three letters SOT have stood for the highest level of expertise in tax and economic issues: with three locations in Vienna, Graz and Salzburg as well as a network of universities, lawyers and specialists among our colleagues.
We have a strong international network in 122 countries with NEXIA International. With 3,500 partner law firms, NEXIA is one of the ten largest “tax and audit networks” in the world.
